PhD Cristina Portugal UNESP

Cristina Portugal Professor and research doctor accredited in the Graduate Program in Design at the Faculty of Architecture, Arts, Communication, and Design at UNESP – Bauru Campus. Leader of the Research Group “Contemporary Design: systems, objects, and culture” of CNPq/UNESP. With extensive academic experience, she completed three post-doctorates in Design, one of them at the School of Communication at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. She holds a PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s degree in Design from PUC-Rio. Editor of the journal Estudos em Design, with a CAPES Qualis A1 rating. She has served as president for two terms of the Brazilian Society of Information Design. She has professional experience in developing projects, teaching, and research in the areas of Design, Technology, and Education, ten of which were funded by research funding agencies. She has had articles awarded at international and national conferences.
