PhD Deniz DENIZ IZMIR – BIOMATERIALSKIT
Deniz DENİZ was born in İzmir. Having completed her undergraduate education, she received master’s degree on Sustainability and Environmental Issues in Industrial Design. Upon completing the master’s degree, she completed her doctoral dissertation on Crime Prevention through Design in 2007. She was awarded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and completed her postdoctoral research at the University of the Arts London (UAL), Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2008.
Based on her education and academic background she has experienced for more than two decades of working on various scale projects ranging from product design to urban design. Her area of interests includes Sustainability, Ecological Design, Environmental Design, Smart and Safer Cities by Design. She has been working in Izmir University of Economics, Department of Industrial Design as an Associate Professor and produced international published articles, research projects, and won design competitions through these years.
