He earned a master\u2019s degree in Product Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina and worked at the Brazilian Laboratory of Industrial Design. A founding partner of the design studio Metaplug, he was also a professor and later director at Prodise\u00f1o \u2013 School of Communication and Design in Caracas. Currently, he is a professor and Chair of the Industrial Design Department at Pratt Institute in New York.
